As you know, the owner of Blackbushe Airport has applied to de-register the airport land from the Commons Register. At a special meeting of the Yateley Common Management Committee on the 20th September the committee voted unanimously to oppose the application. Also an unofficial vote among the public who attended also voted unanimously to oppose the application. At the Yateley Society monthly meeting on the 28th September there was a presentation and discussion on the application and again there was a unanimous vote for the Society to oppose the application

In accordance with members wishes we have vigorously opposed this application and you can read that letter of objection by clicking the following link: YS Deregistration_Response

Hampshire County Council Regulatory Committee has met and decided that they should pass this application to the Planning Inspectorate for resolution. Their reason is conflict of interest as they own the adjacent land.
