Blackbushe Airport Ltd has submitted a notice to Hampshire County Council for deregistering the airport land from the Commons Register.

This land has been “common” for a thousand years and should remain as such for another thousand. The airport was built under wartime emergency regulations and is a “guest” in our parish. Why after all these years should they suddenly want to deregister the land? Aircraft can take off and land. Of course the land would be a more valuable asset for future development if not common land although we are not suggesting this is the reason.
