Montagu Evans, on behalf of their Client Welbeck Land Llp, has written to the Planning Inspectorate to appeal the decision by Hart District Council to refuse planning permission for 150 new homes on the Urnfield. Unfortunately this now takes the decision away from the local area and places it firmly in the hands of unelected  bureaucrats.

The plus side is at least all evidence will be heard and we  can hope for an independent and unbiased judgement. Before the appeal will be allowed the developer has to undertake further discussion with Hart District Council to see if there is any common ground for agreement. This basically means they have another shot at trying to persuade officials to change their minds. We hope that HDC will stand their ground.
