Notes from a volunteers diary.

Our job today was to rake up the floating pennywort for disposal. To gain access to the boggy area Ian needed to cut down the fallen trees that were blocking our way. We split into two groups: one helping Ian to remove the trees and the other group concentrated on raking and removing as much of the wed as possible onto the path for disposal. It was a rewarding task and it will need repeating to try and get the weed under control and to help minimise it spreading from the source area.
